MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin popular music scene is influenced through his worldwide popularity. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 was awarded an Colombian Kids Choice Award as the most popular Song for 2017. In 2017, he released ADN the first of his long-players to La Industria Inc. in Medellin. It was atop the Top Latin Albums chart, it reached No. 8. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit for Ozuna as well as him the year following. In the year 2020, he teamed up with Noriel for Mala Influencia and released the album Dopamina that year. In 2021 he produced a duet for TINI's hit song Maldita Foto. An album release in 2023 with the massively popular La Bachata. Turizo was born into a musical family, his younger brother and his mother are also musicians. In interviews, he referred to music participation as mandatory. When he was a kid, he began learning to play saxophone guitar as well as piano and ukulele. While his initial career choice was becoming a vet, His brother Julian encouraged him to enroll in singing lessons with the help of a Cuban teacher. The end result personally discovering his talent as a singer altered the course of his life.
